My Background in Profile view

My Background

I am an Information Technology (IT) instructor at a First Nations College called the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies or SIIT.  SIIT has campuses all over Saskatchewan, but I reside on the main campus in the Saskatoon location.

I have an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Regina.  I began my career as a computer programmer, later to discover teaching was a much better fit for my personality.

I am currently working toward my masters degree through the University of Saskatchewan, although I am taking this MDDE 610 course through Athabasca University.  My entire masters work so far has been done in an online environment and I absolutely love it!  With a busy life including a full time job and two beautiful, young daughters, learning online allows me to attend class when it is convenient for me.  I would love to be able to incorporate this kind of convenience in my career, developing and instructing online, hence my desire to complete my masters degree in Educational Technology and Design.
