When I was in college, you rarely see me loitering around the campus or in shopping malls with friends. Most of the time, I can be seen in the library or in the woods, studying or just reading. I wanted to graduate with honors that is why I. Besides, I need to because my parents want me to take over the family business after I graduate. I always make sure to do good in the academe. I want my parents to be proud of me so I am doing everything to excel in whatever I do.
I always make sure that I study two weeks before the examination date and that I am always prepared for surprise quizzes when I enter the classroom. I also see to it that I get high grades from my school essays and assigned coursework. I don't aim to be just a mediocre in the class. It always feels good when you are knowledgeable of many things. It really helps. You are not afraid to talk because you know you can say something about anything. I know most of my classmates used to call me geek but this did not affect my performance. That was my life anyway. I am the one to decide how to live my life.
Look where I am now. I am already the General Manager of one of the most popular restaurants in the city. The business I inherited from my parents. I could not be here if I did not do well with my examinations and essays when I was still a student. Studying hard really pays. I must say that I have already achieved something but it doesn't mean I'm gonna stop here. I won't. I know there is still so much to learn out there.
I am a writer who spends more time working compared with other employees. I work as a columnist in a leading newspaper organization in the city. Everyday, I would have to wake up early just to look for possible news that could make it to the daily publication. Honestly, life is harder in a daily publication as opposed to a weekly one.
