About me
My name is Kristina (she/her) and I am looking forward to being in this program and getting started!
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. I majored in comparative literature and minored in creative writing. The majority of my electives were in Women and Gender Studies. In all of my courses, I tended to focus on subjects around equality, inclusivity and identity politics.
Truly, for as long as I can remember, issues of equity and equality among many intersections have always been important to me. This lead me to pursue an after degree in journalism at the University of King’s College in Halifax, N.S. I thought that was the route for me to report on the issues that matter to me. But after, some time in this area I realized I still hadn’t quite found the right avenue for me.
Fast forward to me finding this program and here I am! I am interested in equity studies and community development and look forward to learning more about it all and defining my future career path.
