Selecting and Using Technology

In this module we are looking at ways in which we choose to use technology.

Bates(2003) created a model in which course developers can refer to help them choose a suitable technology for their specific need.  The introduction to this model came at a perfect time.  I am currently in the process of converting a face-to-face class to an online class.  I am in the very beginning stages and have not yet chosen the individual technologies I am going to use.  I am using the ASSURE model described by Samldino (2011) to assist in the in instructional design aspect of my online course, however it does not give detail about how to choose each technology.

SECTIONS Model:

S - Students
E - Ease of use and reliability
C - Costs
T - Teaching and learning
I - Interactivity
O - Organizational Issues
N - Novelty
S - Speed

ASSURE Model

A - Analyze learners
S - State objectives
S - Select methods, media and materials
U - Utalize media and materials
R - Require learner participation
E - Evaluate and revise

Wish list

Now having knowledge of the SECTIONS model it will absolutely be useful when choosing technologies in MDDE 610, and in my career.  However, I do wish there was a concrete flow chart system available that you could follow, answer some questions and it would automatically determine the best technology for the job.  I understand with the vast amount of technologies out there and the fact that new technologies are popping up everyday, this would be near to impossible, but a girl can dream.

I know as a matter of fact that I don't have every one of the appropriate responses, that there are regions of this theme where I need learning and comprehension, and I am trusting the posts will invigorate boundless talk. In the meantime, I am not beginning from a clear page.

Then again, without some controlling standards, and given the quick raising scope of advances, instructors are available to technological determinism or the aggregate dismissal of technology for educating without a few models to direct the choice and utilization of media. http://www.dissertationtime.co.uk/buy-dissertation

Absolutely. Growing up, if I really loved a book I would leave it on my Mum’s pillow and she’d read it, and then we had heaps of awesome conversations about Harry Potter, The Hobbit, The Song of the Lioness quartet (and other Tamara Pierce books). It was awesome for me, because I went to a small school in the country and hardly anyone else enjoyed reading, so I had someone to talk to about all my favourite stories - but it was also awesome for my Mum, because I got her interested in the Fantasy genre, which she still occasionally reads from even now I’m mid twenties.

Bill Paolini's broad information of present and traditional galactic perceptions has made it workable for any visual eyewitness to compose a legitimate book. One minor feedback I have is with reflection coatings and thin point dispersion. More things could be composed to clarify how the coatings function and why they are required for https://www.assignmenthub.co.uk/do-my-assignment multi-component HWA focal point plans.
